I write and refine words that help people feel informed, supported, and empowered.
Specialising in health and wellbeing copywriting and editing, I turn complex ideas into clear, engaging, human language – whether for wellness brands, educational content, reflective journals, or resources that support meaningful conversations around health and wellbeing.
With a background spanning health, education, and ESL materials, I understand how to create content that connects: words that people trust, remember, and act on – with the empathy, clarity, and human nuance that technology can’t quite replicate.
If your message matters, I’ll help you say it beautifully.
I create thoughtful, engaging content that helps people understand, reflect, and take action – whether that’s translating new research into accessible articles, exploring emerging wellbeing trends in blogs and newsletters, shaping compelling campaigns, or developing educational resources.
My work often touches on:
Gut health, nutrition, and the science behind feeling and functioning well
Lifestyle approaches that support energy, resilience, healthier ageing, and everyday wellbeing
Reflective practices and behaviour change – helping people build healthier habits, gain clarity, and make meaningful shifts
Workplace wellbeing and how organisations can support healthier, happier, more productive teams
Sensitive conversations around health and wellbeing, including reflective dialogue scripts that encourage empathy, curiosity, and better listening
Alongside my health and wellbeing work, I also collaborate on educational publishing projects, including second-language learning materials for primary and secondary learners for Oxford University Press, as well as a range of ESL and educational content.
And when I’m not writing or editing, you’ll usually find me running, cycling, at the gym, or on a yoga mat – practising many of the habits I so often write about.
My professional focus on health and performance grew alongside my personal journey into fitness. What started as early-morning runs to reclaim a little space in busy parenting years evolved into something much bigger: a deep appreciation for the way movement, nutrition, and mindset shape our lives.
I wasn’t a sporty child. In fact, PE lessons at school were something I dreaded, and sport never felt like a space where I belonged. But somewhere along the way – via a half marathon entry gifted for my 37th birthday – everything shifted. Quite dramatically!
Discovering different forms of exercise on my own terms changed my relationship with health completely. Somewhere along the way, I left behind the old PE demons and the idea that exercise belonged to ‘sporty people’ rather than people like me. I realised I didn’t need to fit a type to go for a run, lift weights or prioritise my health. Slowly, health became my anchor, my identity and, ultimately, a central theme in my work.
Today, I bring that lived experience into my writing – combining research, empathy and clarity with the perspective of someone who understands that health isn’t always straightforward. I create content that speaks to real people living real lives, particularly those who have ever felt that wellbeing belonged to someone else.
I work with people and organisations who care about clear, thoughtful communication – from educational publishers to wellness brands, healthcare professionals, and authors.
Educational publishers
Long-term work developing second-language learning materials for Oxford University Press, with resources created primarily for learners across Asian markets. This has involved balancing educational objectives with cultural awareness – ensuring content is engaging, accessible, and sensitive to regional contexts and expectations.
Health and wellness brands
Long-term content partnerships that build trust and authority. I’ve worked with Just For Tummies for over a decade, creating health guides, newsletters, blog content, website copy, product descriptions and marketing campaigns. The focus throughout has been on translating complex gut health information into clear, engaging content that educates customers and supports the brand’s voice.
Coaches and therapists
Supporting values-led businesses with website updates, newsletters, client resources, and content that sounds like them – warm, professional, and authentic. This has also included more reflective and personal projects, from guided journal content to wisdom cards and resources designed to encourage insight, self-reflection, and meaningful change.
Recruitment consultancies
Supporting recruitment businesses with thought leadership, newsletters, website copy and career-focused content that builds credibility and connection. My work has also included over 17 years contributing to specialist salary and benefits guides for corporate communications professionals, alongside practical career resources and candidate guidance.
Authors and independent publishers
Developmental editing, manuscript feedback and editorial support – from early “brain dump” drafts through to polished, publishable books. Projects have included career and personal development titles, reflective self-guided content, and wellbeing-focused resources designed to inspire insight, clarity and meaningful progress.
Healthcare professionals
Supporting healthcare professionals and specialists in developing patient communication resources that make difficult conversations easier to conduct. This has included work with a chronic pain peer support specialist to create sensitive dialogue scripts for both providers and patients – helping people talk more openly and constructively about pain management, medication, emotional wellbeing, and relationships.
Whether you are a budding author, an established organisation, or a founder building something meaningful from scratch, I adapt to your voice, audience and goals – creating content that feels authentic, thoughtful and genuinely useful.
Good communication is rarely just about the words.
Whether you’re building trust with customers, explaining something complex, shaping a new offer, developing educational content, or trying to articulate what makes your work matter – clear messaging changes everything.
And that takes more than copywriting.
It takes someone who can listen carefully, understand nuance, ask the right questions, and help uncover the real substance beneath the ideas.
That’s where I come in.
With experience spanning health and wellbeing, education, publishing, reflective content, recruitment, and professional communications, I bring both editorial rigour and strategic perspective to every project.
Most people I work with don’t really want to spend their time writing. They’d rather be supporting clients, growing their business, developing ideas, or focusing on the work they’re actually brilliant at.
Sometimes they’re too busy. Sometimes writing feels overwhelming. And sometimes they’re simply too close to what they do to explain it clearly.
That’s often when people come to me.
I’m typically brought in when:
a message feels complicated or difficult to explain
ideas are strong but the wording isn’t quite landing
content needs more warmth, clarity or credibility
expertise needs translating into something engaging and accessible
a business or brand has evolved and the messaging no longer feels like the right fit
Whether it starts with a rough draft, scattered notes, or simply a feeling that “this isn’t quite saying what I mean”, I help bring shape and clarity to the message – so it feels more natural, more aligned, and far easier for the right people to connect with.
When you work with me, you get to spend more time doing what you do best – and feel confident that what you’re saying sounds clear, thoughtful, and genuinely like you.
If you’re looking for thoughtful, precise and engaging writing – or an editor to bring out the best in your manuscript – I’d love to hear from you.
